What's this about?

There is something magical about a moniker. From very simple forms to more extravagant illustrations—these works of art become small gems in an otherwise decaying and rusting environment. As soon as eyes are laid upon one, questions of its meaning are asked and the details of its creation are imagined. Although this is a large community of un-named artists, very few witness the conception of the artworks themselves. These illustrations are a materialization of one person’s imagination. They capture the artists as they participate in an art form that has existed, arguably, since the birth of the railroad itself.

This is a constantly updating collection of hand drawn and digitally enhanced prints celebrating the moniker artists of North America's railways.

The artist’s marks are created and used with the utmost respect and the identities of the artists, along with the environments, are completely fictional.
